As our name suggests, Perfect Lofts designs and builds faultless loft conversions which add functional space to Surrey properties, all the while improving their value significantly. From Caterham to Coulsdon, Redhill to Reigate and East Grinstead - were known as reputable loft conversion specialists who take a friendly and personal approach to each job, rather than a general and “one size fits all” approach.
This means we work closely with you during the consultation period (as we continue to do throughout every subsequent stage of the project); the aim is to identify every feature, even the minutest of details, to ensure dream attic conversions are made a reality. If you’ve seen attic conversions on an online blog, in a magazine, or at a friend or family’s home – we can use this inspiration to inform your own design choices. Inspiration could also be drawn from our expansive portfolio of past loft conversions. At this point, we draw up blueprints and once the client (and if needs be, the local authority) have given us the go-ahead, we get to work.
On our services page, we’ve broken down in further detail how loft conversion companies like our own approach a project. But here, we’ve taken a look at the different types of loft conversions we’ve carried out for clients in our principal service areas of East Grinstead, Caterham, Coulsdon, Horsley, Reigate and Redhill. If you’re unsure which style will best suit your individual requirements, call our loft conversion specialists on 01737 833 666. We’ll provide free, no obligation advice to ensure you make an informed decision you’ll be happy with for many, many years to come – as unlike many loft conversion companies who simply wish to rush on to the next job, maintaining great relationships with our clients is of the upmost importance to us.
Dormer Loft Conversions – These are the most popular type of loft conversions whether we’re working in East Grinstead, Caterham, Coulsdon, Horsley, Reigate, Redhill or elsewhere in Surrey. The chief reason for this is they are fit for almost any property type. They’re characterised by the way they protrude from the slope of a roof, and can be: full rear dormers, pitched roof dormers, and L-shaped dormers.
Hip to Gable Loft Conversions – This method sees our loft conversion specialists strip back the top of your roof’s hip ends, before converting its flank wall into a gable and extending its ridge to meet said gable. The end result is a considerable amount of extra headroom. These loft conversions are only suitable for detached/semi-detached properties, due to the need for a sloping side roof.
Mansard Loft Conversions – You’ll find these attic conversions at the rear of properties. They involve the construction of a flat roof which emerges from your roof’s uppermost point, which then meets a back wall that slopes inward at a 72 degree angle. Due to the extent of work these require, they often need the green stamp from local planning authorities (something our loft conversion specialists can assist with).
Velux Attic Conversions – As simple as they come, loft conversion companies often advertise these as a quick and relatively cheap way of reimagining your attic space. They involve simply fitting Velux windows which flood the space with light and air; however, whereas the above types of loft conversions are each attempts at maximising/creating more room, Velux attic conversions presuppose you already have enough space in the first place. As such it isn’t suitable for all East Grinstead, Caterham, Coulsdon, Horsley, Reigate and Redhill properties which require structural development.
